I believe 2009/2010 the Hexhead was replaced by the Twincam engine. Having owned both, to ride there’s notably no difference and I have done a fair few miles in my time.

Not sure what you mean ‘stripped’ the bike? It is as it left the factory, factory paint and totally unblemished. I will get a close up of the final drive housing but it is spotless. A time when BMW still made decent castings unlike the later LC’s that seem to corrode in this area.
