BMW R1200 GSA Rallye

I just swapped my 2015GSA for RallyeGSA and with the suspension on auto it’s pretty much at the same height as my 2015 - I kept that set at rider and luggage.
When I picked it up the dealer flicked the seat to the high position I did think the gap looked a bit big

Just stating the obvious, but have you checked its not set to MIN in the the ESA settings, and also they did not give you a lowered chassis bike :rob

Have now set the ESA to MAX and it feels a bit better

Maybe you’re still growing Nigel...

:D

I hope not Richard

How does the seat to foot peg distance feel, Nigel?

What setting have you got the ride height in?

Seat to foot peg feels a bit different. Have checked the part number of the seat and it seems to be the standard GSA one....

I thought it was taller Nigel and have the suspenders on low:D

If you are going to the meeting tomorrow then you could compare them and see if yours is the same.

Best
Shaun

Unfortunately Shaun I'll be on parenting duties.

I've just come from a 2014 GSA TE to the GSA Rallye TE and I would say they are about the same, if anything slightly higher, enough for me to buy the seat lowering bungs from Nippy Norman to give me the same footfall I had with my last bike.

Trebor are the bungs worth it, would you say that you can tell the difference?

I find them to be OK, they only lower the seat by about 1cm, but for me it's just enough to get a bit more traction when moving the bike around whilst sat on it. Some people complained of it tipping the seat forward causing them to slide into the tank, but I've not noticed that. I felt that for £15 (I didn't have to pay postage as I was also buying some other stuff) it was worth a punt.

OK I was in the dealer dropping my bike off for a service this morning and there seems to be two different types of seats on the GSA Rallye's that they have. There is one with a flatter pillion seat without the GS logo and then one with a more pronouced bump on the pillion seat and the GS logo - I have the latter. What do other people have on theirs? I will query seats when I pick my bike up later on - currently on a S1000XR :thumb2

Or just making plans
Can you guess what my ringtone is!

Well the apparent difference in seat heights looks to just be relative to the position of the rider seat and they are all the same.
I have my seat set high front and low rear so the pillion seat looks higher....

Nigel ole boy, how the devil are you, it’s about time you came out for a ride and showed the chaps ur new stead, David may even buy you a coffee :)

2014-2018 GS-ADV or 2017/2018 GS Rally with sports suspension have all the same ride height ESA set on 2-up or max on 2018 ADV/2017/2018 Rally with sports suspension.
