I really don't know why people are obsessed with covering their number plates up when they put pictures of their bike up on here (presumably, they uncover them when they ride them on the road or park them up in public?!). Anyway, after carefully doing this, your invoices show the registration number clearly.....just thought I'd say!

Good luck with your sale.

People cover their registration plates when selling online to protect their privacy and prevent identity theft, as license plate numbers can be used to access personal information about the vehicle owner. Additionally, it helps avoid potential scams where thieves might clone the vehicle's identity.
I have always hidden mine, anyone that is keen will ask for the reg. number. For mot checks etc. Given if their number is shown on mobile.

So what do you do when you park your bike up in a public location? Do you remove your number plate? Or when you're riding on the road generally?

I'd also be fascinated to know who can access "personal information" about you from your number plate, except for the police, local authorities etc?

I think it's a FS ad lads rather than a deeper discussion into small selling details...😉
Decent looking bike and price BTW

Public viewing of registrations numbers are probably copied daily and used on stolen bikes similar to your own, less chance of suspicious cops noticing.

Then the mail drops in with speeding fines from a county different from your own.
It only when coming to sell a bike online, that the scammers get active, and look for bikes, and addresses, personal information given when a scammer may call to view at your address, but never show, so they then can clone (which I am sure you have heard about) the bike Reg. of the sales bike.
All done in the comforts of their suburban flat, or posh abode.

But hey if this doesn't bother you, feel free to, like many others, post their bike in full view, details and address, so anyone with a mind to do thievery, or scam may soon call.
