Hi, I'm just getting an idea of potential interest; I have a 2007 black R1200R, 35K, with full BMW luggage coming up for sale, Cheshire UK. The fuel gauge doesn't work, everything else is fine. Should I fix it, ie get the fuel strip replaced, or is it not a big deal for buyers ? Price will be £3k ish. Pics soon.

I wouldn’t bother as the replacement is also very likely to fail. The only thing worth checking on these is the fuel neck underneath the petrol cap as they have a habit of rusting. You can get a bmw seal to put beneath the fuel cap these days which helps.
