hello
I have just taken delivery of my new R1200RT and has the NAV 5.
my friends GS has the nav5 and he can access 'mymotorcycle' to view on the GPS display loads of bike information which is very useful.

why do we not have this on the RT?
also when you do not need the GPS function do you still leave it on the map or you choose another function?

thank you

Sorry but that's just the way it works on an RT. For some reason only the GS gets the 'My Motorcycle' pages. :-(

Yes, I found that the other weekend when I checked for 'my motorcycle' whilst using my RT at the Rob Roy event in Aberfoyle, I thought that I must have inadvertently wiped it or something, anyway I popped it back on the GS yesterday and it has returned, it's quite a nice feature to have.

Tell you something else that the RT/Nav5 combo doesn't do, you can't scroll the zoom in and out fast from the thumbwheel on the RT like you can on the GS. :augie

You can scroll + or - by selecting the correct page on the button - then select + or - and rotate the wheel to increase or decrease the map size.
