I’ve bought a Suzuki Burgman 650. Had it a couple of weeks now and really enjoying it.You've summed it up well. If you'd told me 25 years ago I would own an RT and actually wax lyrical about it I'd have laughed. Older and wiser....
I have arthritis in my right wrist as well as my lower back and I'm not sure I would have managed the big mile days on the GS without cruise. I hope it doesn't stop you riding altogether, is a big scoot on the cards?
I spent much time in reflection about just that..’was I ready for it’.Big scoot?
You know what, I've considered that, T Max Tech Max. But not sure I'm ready for it. Like the RT though.
It all went sh@itfaced when my gs was nicked. In the wilderness a bit if that makes sense.
When, like most of us on here you’ve spent your riding life on big, fast capable bikes, it’s not easy to accept that your time with them is drawing to a close. It’s a bit like having to admit you’re not a real biker anymore. But I don’t want to stop riding so I had to look at the options and a Maxi Scoot offered a good compromise. As it is, I’m really optimistic about it. Fully automatic with Sport and Manual modes, 110mph capability, much more comfortable for my dodgy hips with adjustable seat, room to change your feet position substantially, lower backrest, electric screen, electric mirrors and heated seats and handgrips. My experience of it so far is that I’m not riding any slower than I would on the big bikes.
Apologies for going a bit off topic, please, have a bump for a lovely RT.
