BMW R1250GS ADV DWA module

Well it seem seems I need to ingest a large piece of humble pie.
Ive just chopped in my 2019 GSA for a 2023 GS. I took the alarm off the 19 which I had fitted as an accessory several months after purchase. Fitted it to the 23 GS and presented it at the dealers. They claim they couldn't code the unit to the new bike as it had been previously fitted. Whats all this about? And another £300 + for a new alarm, fitting and coding.
Maybe I just answered my own question.
This must be only a recent thing as I've achieved it before.

Not sure if the dealer is correct. Did they actually try to code it? HEX GS 911 can do it with the latest update. See here https://www.ukgser.com/community/threads/alarm-coding.433062/

I'm sorry to tell you that I sort my problem, spending only 50€ :')

I basically installed myself the old alarm that I had on my previous bike (destroyed), and I had a guy to code it into the bike remotely with the OBD to ethernet cable.
Total cost of 50€ for the guy, who spent barely 10 mins for the coding.

For future questions in this regarding :)

Do you know what deivce he was using to perform the coding?

Having attempted for the dealer to code my alarm removed from my old bike and fitted to my new bike and be told that they couldn't do it because it had been coded to the previous chassis number I bought into a new alarm
So when I refitted all my GSA pannier rails to the GS I exchanged the new alarm with the old and guess what? It worked perfectly!!
So whats occurring?

The bike just needs to know an alarm is fitted, to allow it to integrate with its system. Once it knows this, it can be exchanged without any further coding. It is just a simple alarm unit. Nothing complicated.
This is the same with heated grips, aux lights, etc.
The Hex GS 911 now has the ability to code these type of accessories to the bike.

I took the the alarm off my 2019 model to fit my 22 plate but dealer said it’s a different alarm on later models so can’t be coded
I’ve still got the alarm and would like it coded
Can this be done with gs911 if not who did you use to code the alarm please
