Bump for a very clean bike. Happy to discuss inclusion of pannier set with liners keyed to bike and Nav5 with prep

Will most likely place on eBay classified ad tomorrow at a higher price

Ah Ha, My lovely trusty old steed!

I owned this bike from new and it was pretty much as new when I sold it to the current owner/seller.

A great bike and also a very pretty bike.

GLWS.

Thanks Kev (y)

She’s still just as clean and is a smashing bike. Added a Nav5, pannier liners and SW Motech Pro tank bag so pretty much perfect now.
Only reason for selling is my riding has finally flipped and I’m seeking the roads less travelled so something a little smaller/lighter makes more sense. If I was still planning longer trips I’d keep her

She was a lovely bike, I get where you’re coming from, I’m sure my GS 1250 grows a wee bit taller and a wee bit heavy each year.

Yes it surprised me when I asked a couple of Honda dealers for a part ex price against my 1200gs rally , I couldn’t believe how low the offers were 😩. Some one must be making a a good mark up somewhere along the line but they won’t be making it from me , I would prefer to keep my bike than to give it away.
Ian.

How cheeky were the offers?
Several for £8k, a couple for £8250. I get the feeling buyers are basing their offers on WBAB prices and making offers accordingly. I took a few test rides and to be honest the cost to change was significantly greater than the difference between the bikes. I did have one very decent possible buyer but ultimately the prospective replacements just didn’t measure up.

I realise many bikes will compare unfavourably against a GS, it was the ease of putting the lump in my van which was the prime driver but having ridden them the effort of loading it didn’t seem so bad.

Just ride it
Smaller bikes in van
GS/GSA is for riding
