Agreed. A nice old toaster, but those leg shields really need to go, along with the red side reflector, which surely can only be orange?

I have an ex South African police R50/5 owned since 2009.

Not as nice or original as yours (front disc conversion and later instruments) but an underrated machine in my view.

Wondering, given its ex police role, if it originally had leg shields ?

Lovely looking bike and with character with all the extras... I especially love the Speedo/ rev counter combined In these days of Uber boring iPad displays and wonder wheels it's a reminder that bikes are lovely mechanical things!
