Attempting to move a few of my bikes on. This is a 1977 R80 and runs lovely. Lot of work gone into this. Last owner was for about 6 years. I have changed oils/ filters etc. New YSS rear shocks. Heavy duty new headstock ( Kevils ) New handle bars and grips. New Michelin Road Classic tyres and tubes. Last owner put new motobatt and downpipes on and rest of exhaust is in very good condition. Bit radical for my 70 years frame. Electronic ignition. The wiring harness which screws into headstock has been broken off by previous owner so held in by cable tie. No leaked and all now set up nicely. Historic registered. Genuinely a nice bike. £4500. Wirral.

Back on my PC now so can type better ! Wiring harness into rear of the clocks is perfect..just having to be held in by a cable tie as a long forgotten owned over-tightened the screw hold the harness in place. I was going to go the Acewell type speedo or GPS ( as there is no ignition light on this bike ) but I'll let the next owner fit that. Very cheap on ALIexpress etc. Legal numberplate fitted as well

Does it charge okay without the ignition light as I thought they needed this (or a resistor) to get the bike to charge.?
Or am I wrong again about these old airheads

Electrics are modified ( has a rectifier under the battery now )...and I have had a meter on her and she charges at 13.8V.....battery is 12.5V with ignition off.

LOL - been out on her today for 60 miles ( still running the new tyres in ), confirms my old bones don't agree with the bike .
Running lovely. V.Slight weep from top fork '0' ring so just ordered one and will fit that. Maybe open to a sensible offer.

Nowt wrong with a stab in the eye for some foreplay !!

New handlebars ( lot more comfortable for these old bones ) and lots more stainless. I'll throw in the original clip-ons if you want them.
