I am guessing no one will part with a used one with a key and they not too expensive (at least if you live in the UK) Just wondering what I need? Heres what I have a bracket built from either side of the subframe rails with a hole in the centre and a small bracket on the set. Apart from that I have a bumgee looped round the rack thru the hole and onto the bracket. Am new to this bike but even I guess its not standard! Can anyone post a picture of what there is to secure the seat to the frame please?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks i did find that one but it only shows the bracket on the seat (no4) which I have. I found another site that shows the complete lock assembly inc barrel and key but can't find anything to show how the 2 connect so i wondered if there is another part i would need to buy to make the lock connect to the bracket. Everytime i see that diagram it reminds me I'll need to source a tool box too at some point

Hope these help -

Thanks Fayeslane that was exactly what I needed, looks like I'll just need to order the lock, i have that bracket on the seat and the brace across the side rails just has a hole in but I can see the lock barrel goes through there. Picture are priceless thats much appreciated.

I just brought the bike into the basement (understanding wife) as it -20 outside now and got as far as pulling the side panels off to trace some stray aftermarket wiring. it goes into the headlight nacelle and terminates in 2 SAE connectors either side of the tank. My guess is some aftermarket lighting tho SAE seems a strange connector for that. Will dig further during the holidays to see what goes where.

Hi, V4Moto, I see you are a (very) new member here and according to your profile you are a Brit recently arrived in Alberta, Canada. I tried to emigrate to Canada 20/25 years ago and would be interested to know how you are getting on over there. I don't know if you have seen the New Members section on here where folks can introduce themselves, click on here:

If you'd care to write a few words on there I for one would love to hear your story. :beerjug:

There should be a small plate/pin assembly on your seat that basically goes into the lock which is secured with two bolts onto your subframe. I bought a new lock + keys from www.motorworks.co.uk as I could not find anything 2nd hand anywhere.

Cheers Maverick - I just ordered one from Motorworks yesterday with some other small parts that I will need. I took those 2 small bolts out and ermoved what was left of the old lock body, guess someone lost their key! It looks like there is a bit of slack in that fixing to allow for adjustment to catch that bracket from the seat
