BMW Rallye jacket 62. Does it exist ?

Could anyone help me??

I am looking to purchase the new BMW Rallye suit in grey/red. But I have been told today by a BMW dealer that they do not produce a size 62 in this colour.

Is this correct ?

I am looking for jacket size 62 and trousers 58.

just been to Rainbow's online shop and sizing appears to up to 60 only in the grey/red

Thanks for you reply. What jacket and trouses do you recommend for 100% waterproof touring.

If you want to be guaranteed 100% dry - take the car! If you want to take a motorcycle you will get wet - accept that from the start and you'll have no problems. Try and fight it and you'll start a neverending search for 100% dry which will cost you a fortune.

If you are mentally adjusted to the inevitable, you can now start considering kit.

Do you want something you can wear year round or something that is season specific? Where are you touring - is it hot or cool? Leather or textile? What is your budget?

I personally have a Streetguard 2 jacket and Santiago pants. I ride year round in most weather and find it suits me.

Kit is a very personal thing though.

Colours and the Great Outdoors.

I got the Rallye 2013 suit in grey. Strange though on sizing, I had to go up one size in jacket and trousers. Just trying them on after taking off my Streetguard suit, both fitted well, but Rallye was 52 top, 50 trousers, and Streetguard was 50 top and 48 trousers! Both felt the same!
So, make sure you try on first.
To be honest, it was a toss up between blue and grey; they both look good.

Waterproof?
I agree with piebaps; I am in the great outdoors, and just like if I am walking, sailing, I expect not to feel as if I am in a car. I will get a bit wet, a bit cold and a bit too warm! I even like to keep the screen low and feel the breeze.I find layering is the best route. No matter what my Rallye suit claims, if it is wet from the start, I put on my Goretex shell outer. It dries real quick, never wets out, and seals well at the cuffs. Light rain, the liner is good, but not great at the cuffs and neck.

I know this sounds a little defeatist, but it works for me. Again, all personal.

Also, in my opinion, the Rallye is well made and very comfy; the new protectors are more flexible for knee bending.

Hein Gericke Master 5 Suit. The best goretex kit I've ever bought. Had it about 4 years now. Did 3 days up in The north of Scotland last week, torrential rain, sideways rain, wee rain, big rain, sleet and a wee touch of snow. I was bone dry every time I took my kit off. Hang the stuff up for half an hour and gs completely dry too, with the goretex layer being on the outside.

+1 for the Hein Gerrick Master Suit - mine is about 7 years old, washed once and year and reproofed, bit frayed in places now but still 100% dry and relaible.
