BMW roundel 1200 pivot point

I have bought two, the metal and the plastic version.

The plastic was stolen when I left my bike at the Excel Bike show, the metal one is better quality and screws in and doesnt just push in. I got the metal one from 'Touratech'. Although I later found that many of the BMW spares sites also sell them and a little cheaper

Speakers, I reckon.

Perfect for rebroadcasting Downtown Radio while cruisin' down Portstewart Strand. :aidan

Speakers :thumb Nothing like a rousing tune to announce your arrival.

My daughter likes to play her MP3s through them as we take the long way round to her Primary School :angel

I remember once playing "Bat out of Hell" through them as I climbed a rocky lane somewhere in Yorkshire. As I came over onto the summit I was greated by a couple quickly trying to cover themselves up in the back of a Range Rover. Would have been more embarassing for them if I had arrived announced.

Like it! Where did you get 'em?

I got them in a local Motor Accessories store (Overdrive in Airdrie)

However you may well be able to get similar or even better set on ebay as there are quite a few BMW Alloy Wheel stickers for sale. Mine are 60mm diameter and fit the pivot point nicely.

I actually found that one of the parts of a typical jacket pop fastening thingy fitted over the centre bolt in the pivot point and attached the badge to the back of it. At the moment the badge is held in place by the sticky surface on its reverse side but the popper over the centre bolt helps it stay in place and hopefully will allow it to be reattached if moved to check bolts underneath.

It's probably just me, but I think the bike looks a lot better with the pivot point left 'as is'.

IMHO it's more in keeping with the overall 'engineered/functional' look of the bike if that makes sense :nenau

FWIW if I was gonna fit them I reckon Streakys look the least :ymca on the bike.
