I was looking for Savannah boots lately but noticed on the BMW website that the model has replaced by the newer Santiago boots. Has anyone tried these yet. Any feedback? They look like a pretty rugged pair of boots without the full MX overkill.

I also noticed that they don't do the Savannah suit anymore...

Cheers

If they look more or less the same, why not go for the HG Gortex TRG boot as it is pretty much the same, only cheaper, I have some and are great bit of kit

Just been to look at a pair they are good looking and seem well made but £200 big ones! Have an old pair of savannas that have just worn out, been great boots but they are not made by bm any more There may be a few old stock but still £190.00
Had a look at the HG TRG boot almost identical to old savanna and £135 but they were out of stock. HG due a delivery of a few hundred pairs in about 10 days. Think I will be going for those and save myself £65 :thumb

I find the HG ones a crap fit and the BMW ones sadly a good fit.. the Oxtar Matrix boot they are both based on is too small around the calf but fits the foot :nenau ... hope the santiagos are the same as the Savannahs fit wise

I bought a pair of the Santiago boots last week and test rode them over a 500 mile weekend in Wales just gone (sun, rain, sleet and snow). Certainly waterproof, warm and comfortable (both on bike and walking). I'd recommend them.

I've had the HG ones for 2 years, no complaints, good fit , waterproof etc

I had the Savanna ones - great boots but when I sold my GS they were too bulky to change gear on my ST so sadly sold them. Bought the H-G ones when I got my 80GS and they are every bit as good as the BMW ones and made by the same italian company too!
