Evening comrades.
On a trip back 'home' about 3 years ago I had the misfortune to break down on a bank holiday Saturday morning.
Myself and the RT were picked up by a really helpful independant breakdown guy, sent on behalf of the AA, who came from Bundoran.
We couldn't get to Belfast to the BMW dealer before they closed for the B/H but the breakdown guy applied his local knowledge and got us to a guy in County Leitrim who he knew fixed BMW bikes for the Gardai.
I've no idea who this guy was but he lived in a beautiful cottage on the shores of a stunning loch, about 2 miles or so from a lovely little town, the name of which I have no idea.
We broke down near Pettigo in County Donegal and we seemed to be heading pretty much due south.
The mechanic was brilliant, bike was sorted in no time and his garage was a real Aladdin's cave. He also had a very old, but wonderfully friendly dog, possibly a cocker spaniel.
I've often wondered who he was and where his idyllic place and lovely little town were.
Any ideas at all?
