BMW Streetguard and Streetguard 2.......

What would the difference be between these two jacket types?
I am looking at a jacket for SWMBO and they have a Streetguard on Ebay from a dealer in Birmingham but there is not much information on the spec of the jacket?

Any one able to help or point me towards a source of information?

The Streetguard is the older version that was discontinued in 2005. It has a goretex liner, removable thermal lining and armour in the elbows and sleeves (slot for optional back protector). A very nice jacket (I have one).

The streetguard 2 has the Goretex XCR lining and something similar to outlast, which helps regulate the body temperature. It also has a removable storm collar. The back protector is standard too. More info here:-

If i understand correctly there is very little difference other than the Goretex being XCR on the 2 and the Outlast on the 2. Considering that SWMBO is a cold bod even on the warmest of days the outlast shouldnt be amajor concern.

The main thing for me was the peotection offered and that seems to be the same (subject to fitting a back protector) on both.

Mine doesn't,mine is externally waterproof
It does have a removable thermal liner though, they are great kit and as they've been replaced by Streetguard 2 there are bargains to be had.
