Bought a pair yesterday and they seem very comfortable (after the knee armour settles in) I feel they would be poor in a high speed crash but would fair up in a small off - any thoughts.

Seem a good pair of summer trousers that double as shorts.

Anybody had a pair for some time to give me the low down?

Thanks in advance
Rik

Strides

I bought a pair last year for the summer, nice and cool, label says theyre cordura as well so should stand up quite well in a minor spill. Bit of a fly magnet though, seem to get covered more than darker stuff maybe it just shows up more? The armour never seems to sit right in mine either.

I have a pair of the original BMW summer trousers in black (the new mark 2 version ones in black are more a very dark blue ;) ). I find them excellent and the cargo pockets are useful. Feels like strong material and also bought the optional hip armour which is very comfortable and fits well. No problems with the knee armour. Definitely recommend them :thumb2

I also have a pair of the original ones in black, likewise I'm very happy with them though as with other BMW Trousers I've tried the knee armour could sit better.

Almost shower resistant as well though that will probably change once they are washed.

Worth keeping an eye on ebay they often come up there particularly in the Winter (not a lot of help if you want them now :blast)

Regards Bob

I bought a pair recently. So far I find them really comfy and pretty warm (have worn them while riding in sleet and light rain with heavy surface water) and they kept me dry too.

I wear them with my T-Pro Forcefield armoured shorts (I never ride without these, I wear them under leather trousers too):

Mine have the 'Pro Armour' ... best £80 I ever spent! (You may get them cheaper from a dealer than the web site.) I think the idea of having the armour so securely attached to these areas of the body is a good one.
