I'm being optimistic and planning for summer eventually arriving, and have had a look at the BMW Airflow jacket, and the BMW Venting jacket. Does anyone on here have either of these? Any good? What was the name of the dealer that offers mail order on here at a discounted rate?

I have got a tourguard which has good Armour and is fantastic for summer touring when it gets hot BUT you need the goretex liner for when it gets chilly or even a light shower as it definitely does not keep you dry without the lining.
I had both, used the Venting ( it has massive mash panels made of some armabollocks super shit stuff) in South France in +40 no problems, it was a bit scratchy against the skin. The new version looks different, on the old one the silver mash acts as reflective panel , fabric was also stiff . Then I got the Comfortshell which is the best kit I have at the moment ( had a good discount on the jacket, ) , still on sell , if you want new look at eBay . In the dealers is the new version , but is quiet different in cut and style.
Strangely the trousers leaked in the rain but not the jacket.

Excellent jacket with C Change Membrane Technology: A co-operative effort with Swiss textiles specialist Schoeller has led to the development of a new "smart" membrane: c_change adapts pore size to ambient temperature for "on demand" control of breathability. In much the same way as fir cones open up when the weather is warm and close again as temperature drops, this suit "breathes" in summer and insulates the wearer when the weather turns cold. The c_change membrane also shows a degree of elasticity that has enabled BMW Motorrad to produce a fully elastic outer material offering motorcyclists, greater wear comfort than ever before.
