BMW System 6 Helmet

First post and looking for advice.

Have a System 6 helmet which is just over two years old and have covered just 4000 miles wearing it.

Yesterday the internal sun visor failed to work. The left hand drop down mechanism failed and the visor won't drop down.

Any one had a similar experience with their's?

Have e-mailed BMW Customer Services and await reply.

If it is over 2 years old they will probably tell you to ....guess what?
I know with my old system 5 a vent fell off and they did not sell spares, luckily it was only 23 months old so I got it replaced foc

Don't expect much but have pointed out that in the last 24 months have bought 2 BMW bikes. Shamless I know but nothing ventured nothing gained. have a feeling I'm heading back towards a Shoei.

There is an article on Advrider.com regardng the same problem and they reckoned it was an easy diy fix

Had a look seems like the cable has broken completely! BMW have acknowledged my e-mail but await their full response.

Kudos to John Clark Motorrad Dundee. Has taken a wee while but after sending them some photographs they've agreed to replace the helmet. New helmet to be collected Monday. Result
