BMW Tank Bag Fitment Question (pre- vs post 07)

Wonder if anyone knows the answer to this.

Would a BMW OE tank bag designed for a 2007 (i.e. Mk 1) GSA1200 also fit a post-2007 1200GSA (Mk II, for want of a better word) ?

Reason for asking is that I'm sure I read on this Board somewhere that the tanks are a slightly different shape and the tank bags aren't completely interchangeable (i.e. they fit but not 100%). From memory, I can't recall any major differences but then again I'm old compared to most of you lot and have a bad memory.

This might be all tosh .... but would appreciate the opinion of someone who knows for sure !

As Far as I am aware the tank only changed in 08, so from 04-07 the same bag shouuld fit

If you take a good look at the R12GSA, you'll see that the area around the filler cap, and the painted aluminium part HAVE NOT CHANGED from model '04-'07 to model '08 (and onwards). The only thing really changed is the front part of the beak, and the tankcovers at front.
I guess that whatever tankbag you used on a R12GSA previously, it will fit the new one. Otherwise have a try-out at your dealer's.

The R12GS has changed more : the front part of the beak, the part around the filler cap, the tankcovers, and the aluminium part are different in shape or material since '08. Hence new tankbags for the R12GS.
