BMW Tank Bag waterproof map pocket!

Hi, Have a BMW tank bag on my bike, I am getting some water in the clear map pocket on the rainy day (not in the bag itself), is it rain or its condensation?

Condensation, mainly. I had the same on my last tank bag. I don't use one anymore.

Unless of course you can cleary se an ammount of sloshing about water in it

The map pocket is not waterproof, it is only the inner bag within the rolltop closure that is waterproof.

Are you sure its not you drooling over your bike as you ride?

Tried 2 of these and found them to be of poor quality and let rain in. Now use Baglux and never looked back. Just ensue you use the 'shower cap' when it rains.

I don't use the map pocket but have never found it to leak in rain. Condensation is however a problem. It's also a pain in the arse on very sunny days as it reflects really badly (I use the tennis ball trick). I Do like it overall and for commuting it's ideal for bits and pieces.

I've been out on dry days and had some damp in that pocket and not a drop of rain in sight

It was more than just condensation in mine. BMW replaced it and the new bag seems to be better

My brand new one did the same in France recently in the rain, it really was way too much water to just be condensation!! anyway BMW changed it straight away, not tried out the new one yet

I have had 2 and both ended up with moisture in the map pocket when it rained and when the sun comes out they fill with condensation.
