BMW. Top box ,big enough ?

It should do if expanded. I don't have one on the current bike, but it used to fit in my last vario top box when expanded, and the new one looks slightly bigger.:rob:beerjug:

I have just tried my Arai Astro and also my AGV and they easily fit separately into the expanded BMW vario top box.

NOTE. Not together, but one at a time!

You absolutely cannot fit two helmets into the top box together, but one is fine, no problem!

Hope this helps!

PS. I get my vario panniers tomorrow! :roll

BMW Top Box -Too big for some

Don't want to highjack this thread but I am looking for a top box from the other end of the enquiry spectrum.

I wonder if anyone has found a smaller 'secure' top box than the BMW Vario for the 2013 GS?. I looked at one the other day and find it larger than the one for the 2010 GS, heavier, expensive and in excess of my needs.

Basically want one for overflow when touring with panniers or to avoid riding with a backpack to include a few necessities - tools, puncture kit, cable etc.

We here in Oz have a dearth of accessories at this time. Thanks

Pelicase.

Or better still, a soft bag. I used one for years and still do, with no problems.

How long have you been waiting? Mine should have been ordered 4 weeks ago:eek:

I got the bike 3 weeks ago and ordered the panniers then!

Ryan at Piddy's has been on my case (scuse the pun) and is picking up my ignition key from my house in the morning to match it to the new locks.

He will drop the new panniers in on his way home from work on Thursday, says that he will bring a few shims just to make sure that we get them fitted ok.

That's what I call good service! :thumb2
