BMW trousers question

I'm wanting some spring/summer/autumn trousers, ie some that are nice and cool in warm days, but are warm enough to wear on a cool spring/autumn evening.
I've been looking at the Summer 2 trousers and airflow trousers, does anyone have any experience of these and comment on my requirements?
If neither are suitable for cool weather riding can you get thermal/goretex inserts for them?
Alternatively, how cool are the trailguard or tourance 2 trousers? Do either have removable linings?

I have used the bmw summer trousers 1 which i thought were a bit rubish, not much protection and a bit "cheap" never tried the newer ones which do look alot better

I had some airflow stuff and unles its hot i.e above 25c which in this county is quite rare it can be a bit cool. I rode back from Newark to Cambridge on an early summers evening and buy the time i got home i needed a hot shower

I have the Urban trousers which are warm enough (on a GS with plenty of protection) in the spring, Summer & Autum. Only problem is they are not waterproff so you have to be confident it wont rain however being a light weight material they do dry very quickly (i know)

I use the streetguard 2 trousers which are very good in all weather (but can get a bit hot in the summer)

I think the tourance has goretex woven in and havent looked at the Rallye trousers.

Im looking at trying the C-Change or Comfort Shell this year as it seems to be rated good

Trailguard ... suit has removable waterproof membrane.
Tourance ... no removable membrane.
No experience of either.

I am looking at the City 2 trousers so, not to hijack this thread, has anybody experience of these?

I started with an Airflow (2 or 3?) suit and very happy within limits- say over 18 C for the jacket, over 12C for the Troos.
Got a (used) Comfort Shell now to match and even happier with performance - heated waistcoat allows some use in the winter. No liners in this suit but big vents F & R on jacket that really work in the summer, so tend to use this most of the time.

I use Comfort Shell which is as good as I have been able to find for all weathers. No lining just needs some leggings underneath when it is really cold.

I have the City trousers and I would say they sound like what you are looking for. I almost picked up the Summer ones but a friend who has both reckons the City ones are much better. I'm very happy with mine and know lots of other people who are too (in fact a group of three of us who sometimes go riding together all wear them).

Thanks for the advice. The city ones sound lke they could be good. I need some to go with the Fluo Yellow jacket I bought yesterday, which is more of a spring summer jacket. As for waterproofing I've got 2 options, either carry around some proper waterproofs, or if I know for definate it's going to rain I could always where my current Teknic gear.
I'll stick with my Teknic clobber for the winter as I'm sure I can get another year out of it. It has lost some of it's brightness in comparison to the new one I've bought, but is still OK after a good wash.
