BMW Vario luggage - top case

Hi, I recently purchased the Vario top case and panniers set for my 1300 GS. They were dealer installed and keyed into the remote during a service, re-boxed and delivered. I have fitted the panniers without issue but I am having trouble with the top case. Can't get it to seat / engage. I insert the key and turn to flip the tab up, make sure it is fully "up", seat the case per instructions, and then i cannot close down the tab. Has anyone else experienced issues / can advise. Might be an obvious thing... but I have forgotten a few times, but have you remembered to remove the covering cap that contains the electrical connector.

Once you have removed the rubber cap(!), it needs a bit of a shove to seat it properly. Once done it closes easily enough.

Many thanks but I did remember! Advice from dealer was that, since the case is new, it requires brute force to push the lugs further along before the flap will close correctly.
