OK. So I use a Zumo 390LM, which today costs around £260 new.

I am now being bombarded from BMW dealers over a "BMW Motorrad Navigator Street", which looks the same, appears to have all the same characteristics and functionality, but is advertised at £380, even though it doesn't seem to have the kit to mount it in the car, which my Zumo came with.

Am I missing something?

If you've got the BMW sat nav preparation on your bike (scroll wheel on left bar) then the Nav V can be controlled via the scroll wheel - zoom in and out, move forward/back through menus etc. The Nav V also communicates with the bike's ECU to provide you with all sorts of (largely unnecessary) information about number of gear changes performed, brake usage etc. I find the scroll wheel functions genuinely useful but if you don't have this fitted then there's little point in buying the BMW system IMO.

Think he's quoting the Motorrad Street Navigator not the Nav V.

Unless you upgrade to the Nav V which also doesn't come with a car mount, I'd keep what you've got.
