This one is being offered for sale by Mike, a neighbour of mine. He bought it to go to the TT with his wife, which he did, but he's decided it's not for him. He's more of a classic bike man and has a very nice classic Kawasaki as his other steed.

It's a BMW K1600gtse, February 2024, 73 plate, only 2400 miles and still got manufacturers warranty until February 2027. It has had a full service at BMW Motorrad at Rotherham 2 weeks ago. Price is £13,500. Pictures below. If you're interested PM me an I'll try to get you some better images:

If anyone is interested let me know and I'll put you in touch with Mike. Situated near Bakewell. Not quite in God's county but if he had a second home it would be here.da4399b9-8c53-4bf4-a78b-83a659e1edbc.jpegde64cafd-d841-4376-8035-88d64725cf64.jpeg888d2d55-f027-430f-8685-b5272bef2094.jpeg

Well spotted Barry, nice bike at a great price though, wish I could afford it, I had one of the early ones for a while, a fantastic engine and what a sound when it is on song. Bit heavy for me now days as well though.

Did I detect a little fear mongering, or was it just click bait - I thought better of F9.

The GTL, GA & baggers are speed restricted ivo top box & footboard placement, which impacts aero. Much the same with a Goldwing.

The GT tops out at c.250 kph out of the crate, but like many other sports tourers, needs caution during high speed exercise when taking a pillion, top case & luggage.

I didn't sense any click bait or fear mongering. He did point out that the very specific design of the front end is known to be potentially dangerous at high speeds hence the speed limits which was interesting on a technical level.

He has previously said we shouldn't be using armour and the R1200CL is good so even though his vids are good I wouldn't believe everything...😉😆
Lovely looking bike and seems great value for the age!

Saw that. I didn't see anything about aeo per se as some have allured to above, but a commentary more to do with the offset of the rear wheel which combined with cornering at high speed can set off a wobble. Must admit, I liked the GL1600GT I test rode.

Lovely bike Mike has there, best of luck with the sale for him.

Mine has been rock solid, it pulls left when you take you hands off the bars to no rear wheel offset set up. Same set up as GS and GSA , no wobbles from them...
