BNW service costs in Ireland compared with Britain?

Sure I rang Duffy's to get a quote for the 24k mile service on the 1150GSA. They quoted €700. I said good luck and took my business elsewhere.

Would have ended up at about 1000.

I'll never get my bike serviced in Dublin again.

Here here, I'm heading up north or over to england to do it too. It's a sad state of affairs when it's cheaper to get the ferry to england to do it, Joe Duffy are either making so much money on servicing it's scary, or they're the most inefficient garage in europe.

My 1200 goes in for it's 48,000 mile service on Thursday. I was quoted £180 plus £65 if the brakes need bleeding.
...and that's a "proper" BMW dealer.

Maybe you could fit your service into a holiday over here?

400-700 Euro sounds mental. I thought our lot were dear.

:rob

I'd missed the 42k service so they did an Annual Inspection and 48k service.... and fitted a new set of front pads and loaned me an F800GS for the day, that they'd just fitted the numberplate on.

£231.66 :JB

Sorry to rub it in guys.

It'd cost that for the pads alone here!
I remember getting a quote for €300 to change the HANDLEGRIPS!! They insisted you couldn't change them without the entire heated grips circuit being replaced aswell. I told them it's just the grips that's worn, but they said it's the one part. Anyway, I got a nice set of grips in a different bike shop for €6 and replaced them myself in about 15 minutes, saved myself €294 and the bike being in the garage for a day!:roll
