Installed Bobcat on my new Mac....

Seems to work fine... I can send info such as waypoints to the 2650 with no problems, but a window pops up asking if I want to send the maps associated with the waypoint to the device... if I click yes the following appears:

The version of MapInstall in your Applications folder does not support this feature. To obtain the new version of MapInstall visit

http://www.garmin.com/mac/

Anyway, the new mapinstall version 2.02 installed, but it seems to make no difference, the same message appears:confused:

Any ideas or pointers greatfully received :beerjug:

I'd imagine it selects a set of tiles around any routes in your current bobcat view. - like the old mapsource did.

Try making a route between two waypoints and see if it selects the appropriate tiles.

Bobcat's great, but seems to lock up occasionally planning routes in v.7 maps I still have.

Thanks Ian, but still didn't work....

Bryn,

If the maps are already on the GPS then don't select to send them with the route/waypoints - what happens then cos it should be happy as a pig in muck

Andy, It sends the route all fine and dandy... the thing I was attempting to avoid was keeping hold of the windows laptop just to load mapsets when needed... suppose I could just load the whole of europe and forget about it....:thumb

' I smell of wee' :D

Fanum's Ginger... much worse :rob

I have done just that, unlocked the whole of City Nav '08 used Map Manager to pull it in and job done - the only time I do what you're doing is when I am uploading to my 60CS with the fixed memory capacity, but the Zumo just sucks it all in as will your 2650 with a 2GB card in it :thumb
