Whats the best and most comfy body armour?
I used to used just an off road plastic chest protector with an armoured jacket but am thinking of getting a proper body armour under jacket and doing away with the built in armour.

Get this under your tight t shirt Tim

the boys'll love it :thumb :ymca :thumb

I bought one of these Dainese back protectors for track days... :thumb

You just have to make sure you have ample space to tuck it down the back of your troos' and still be able to do them up comfortabley... :D

I use a Knox Cross Shirt which is very comfortable www.planet-knox.com , they also make a more serious Knox Cross Sport for use whilst taming wild Arab stallions if your "whispering" fails Timmyquatrablond ;) .

The stuff that fits best, so it stays put and doesn't irritate you. You'd have to try it.

I've got one of these which is nice :thumb

As Bigtwin says though, try stuff on....wear whatever you're gonna wear over the top and walk around the shop for a bit....bend, stratch and sit on a bike to make sure it does't poke you anywhere unpleasant.

This Dainese kit was dear, but it feels comfy and I've worn it under a sweatshirt n the summer as hot weather gear......nice :D

PS that's my identical twin Rupert modelling it ;)

PS the wasitband thing's crap actually...it scrunches up but then again I'm a fat git so that's probably the problem...otherwise it's great and it's taken all the falls I've had when wearing it offroad veryeffectively.
:D

It's waterproof then? :D

Nope

Nor can you seperate the panels from the netting stuff (apart from the spine protector IIRC..it's downstairs and I can't be arsed to check ;) ) so if you get a bit hot and sticky, (which is exactly whatyou're goingto do if you're doing the sort of riding that needs one of these) then it can get a bit ripe after a couple of days......A spray of Febreze or a sponge off with soap and water sorts it out :thumb

I'd buy one again, let's put it that way :thumb

How quick do you need one Tim????

I just missed one on Ebay, but will keep looking.

Last time I bought some I was in so much pain from an almost cracked sternum I could hardly try it on :( This time I'll get some BEFORE it's needed :thumb

Thanks for the answears

Ya welcome to borrow mine for a proper try out if ya like....I'm not using it since the DRZ went...Have a think if there's an easy way of getting it to you ;)

Oops, sorry couldn't resist. I'll bear it in mind :thumb

What size do you need? I have a full set of Dainese hanging in the wardrobe, never worn and the black netting makes it just the thng for a Saturday night out with the boys :D

I guess a large, Send me a PM with details etc and i'll arrange next sat night :D

Tim, I use the Dianese armour for enduros, echo everything that has already been said. Best kit I ever bought. Can't wear it under leathers though, so have BMW's own for road riding. Yes the waist belt isn't very good, mine does the same as Fanum's, and I'm a skinny get, but I only fasten it loosely to keep it in position.
A mate of mine spent ages trying on armour at Stoneleigh last year, couldn't find anything like what he wanted. He tried mine on but found that it poked him in the back of the neck when he sat down. (long legs, short body)
The new Alpinestars stuff looks pretty good, but havent tried it on yet, Hein Gericke at Chester had some in at the weekend.
HTH
