boil in the bags

My Rallye 3 suit works well especially the vents on chest area to cool you down.
Vents on thighs as well are good.
Highly recommended :thumb

+1 for Rally 3 suit (with vents open)

It took me years to take the plunge and I have been bowled over by the design and quality, I think I had a 25% discount at a new dealer's launch/opening day.

I was cool and comfortable with the bike's computer showing 29.5 degrees and I was also comfortable wearing the trousers indoors for a 2 hour classroom session (Bikesafe) on Monday. Ideal touring gear IMHO.

Isn't it a shame we can road test their bikes but not their riding gear?

I use a Hein Gerike Toureg suit. Its armoured cordura textile like their full monty suits but has no waterproof or thermal linings and lots of ventilating zips. Its easy to wash and mine was bought used for £100. I use a water proof oversuit if it rains.

Very similar tale, I'd avoided the BMW Clothing purely because of the "twat suit" image but decided to try a 2nd hand jacket, bought off a fellow forum member, and I'm also impressed with the comfort.

I wear Rukka for winter riding but it's not the best summer wear.

Well, it eventually turned up yesterday but youngest daughter was too lazy to get out of bed to sign for it. Sat in traffic for an hour to get it from the post office today.

Got it straight out of the box, measured 500ml of tap water and filled it up.

Almost overflowed so stopped, replaced the cap and tipped jacket upside down, then carried on filling in the same manner till all water gone.

Was a bit unsure that the water had got to all parts so spent 5 minutes pushing it round the jacket.

Put it on over my shirt as you can see, within 2 minutes I started to feel the cooling effect. Not that warm here today, 18ish degrees, it is noticeably cooler, will be interesting to see what it is like at the weekend when it is supposed to be hot.

Still got it on and now starting to feel cold on the areas the jacket is close to my body. So far, so good.
