Anyone else heading to Paul Ricard for.the Bol d'Or 19th/20th September. I last went in 1989 - hope the sanitation has improved:beerjug:

A bit cryptic for me or have I missed something!

Hi

Yes I'm off there as part of the RDGA & RN round trip.

My first time there, and the first time camping since Le Mans in April 1982.

If I'd known there was a spare, but ancient tent available I could have saved £35 at Blacks:augie

Hi Bill,
We're planning to go up through the Verdon gorge and the Route Napoleon from Digne in the few days after the race.
The camping at the circuit seems to have changed completely from the last time we were there and is now on the road rather than in the trees on the far side, not much chance of finding Wappings tent - which camping are you in, we've booked Pinede.

Hi

We are camping at Pinende as well.

I understand its rough ground, which could be fun.

If you find my tent, let me know. There's a beer in it. Help yourself.

Mine close by... Think there's still a pair of jeans inside suffering from infused smell of burning tyre smoke..

Anyone else left their tent at Paul Ricard in the late 80's/early 90's?

I'm still using the same Vango Hurricane tent that we used for our UK to Cape Town trip back in the 90's - it has, admittedly, seen better days so perhaps I'll just abandon it at the Bol as we're relying on hotels for the rest of the trip.

Hi

No tent and no smelly jeans.

The other thing difficult to find were toilets and showers.

There were absolutely no facilities provided in the site we ended up on.

We went, but only stayed for the Saturday afternoon and stopped overnight in a hotel nr Brignoles
