Anyone know if Ill be able to get a new pivot plate for a system 4? Dont want to have to scrap the lid.

Broke my Aria side-plates (whatever there called) twice & at £30-40 a set its not funny. You will hate/love me when I post the bell-m5x details.

Things should be made easy not some malicious twist in pop out then insert visor bllks. :augie

ps: Atleast it's closed?

I dropped my BMW enduro lid a couple of weeks ago and broke my vizor ratchet went to my local dealer and you can buy spare ratcet kits i think it was about £20

The clear plastic pivots are the original fitment. They are very brittle and eventually snap (as you have found out!). An official BMW 'repair kit' is available. It's not really a 'repair' kit, just complete, new pivots in a more hardwearing black plastic. I can't find a part number for you, but see your dealer. I bought a set a few years ago. If I remember correctly they were only a few quid. HTH:thumb

I do believe that I may have a brand-new one in a box somewhere.

Edit: The part # is 72 60 7 673 861 and the price back in 2006 was £19.15

I do have the two plates (the updated black ones), all the fixings and screws but one of the black visor-pivots is missing (that's what broke on my System 4).

These are no use to me as I've ditched my System 4.

Awsome. :thumb

Mike, if you have the 'right' side plate intact and dont need it, let me know how much you want for it.

If you are still stuck I still have my old system 4 knocking about at work. It was retired about 6 yrs ago when only 12 months old after i dropped it down a flight of steps.
For the past 18 months it has only been used for dog training (better than getting bit in the head).
I'll dig it out today and see what state the pivots etc are in.

Thanks for that Neil. Good to know.

Mike P is gonna send me a couple of plates which should do the trick, if not, Ill drop you a pm.
