Bolt size.......I've lost one!

Where the y piece bolts near the centre stand there is a horizontal pipe on the y piece - it has a Bolt on one side but not the other- are they both same size? And does anyone know the size so I can get one without having to take t'other one off.

They are the same and they are counter-sunk hex-screws which have an unthreaded shank.

The part number is 18 21 7 654 789 and around a fiver from BMW. Just ring your nearest dealer if no-one here shouts up that they have a spare.

Just be certain that it's counter-sunk otherwise you'll find that the stand won't go up past it.

Don't get stressed out, you don't need to fit them - bmw stopped using/fitting them on all the later 1150 models, including on the RT with it's huge exhaust.
