I've been clearing out all the old wood left over from our building work and built the mother of all bonfires.

I then decided that it was too big for just a few of us to stand around so thought why not have a party?:hogroast

I can organise some basic food (eg curry or chilli?) and make a decent night of it.

Limited sleeping space if required in bunkhouse/poolroom and on camp beds if anyone wants to stay overnight.

For those who don't know my location, I'm near to Stibb Cross about 10 miles south west of Bideford. See Gentlemens Weekend past events for more details. I can pm exact address and postcode to interested parties.

Who's up for it?

Over 100 views and not a single solitary response.:(

I thought this event had everything in its favour, secure bike parking, camping or bunkhouse available if required, free food, monster bonfire, fireworks etc etc.

Bit disappointed at total lack of response.

Any reason for no responses?

Bit too far for me to travel unfortunately.
Mate coming round at 8.30 in the morning to do some plastering....

Hope weather brightens up and you have a good un :thumb2

Bugger. Didn't see this thread. I'd have come even from Leicester.

Postponed until Saturday.

Postponed until Saturday the 6th night now.

I've not being feeling too good last few days and same for a few friends so no point in burning several tons of wood just few a few people tonight.

Hopefully, weather will be better tomorrow night.

I've got everything prepared with tons of chilli, jacket potatoes, beer, wine and fireworks.

Anyone else still welcome on Saturday night.

Wish I lived a tad closer and wasn't working Sat & Sun.

Your hospitality is stupendous.

Good news.:)

Weather is 10 times better today and I'm feeling a lot better so its all on for tonight.:)

Second fridge is full of beer and white wine. Lots of good red wine for the wimin.

Monster hot chilli, pumpkin soup and large jacket potatoes. A good few quids worth of fireworks (feck, they are expensive!).

Starting from dusk, I reckon bonfire will still be burning through the night. I was not allowed to put any old car tyres on it this time.:(

Fireworks will be later 9.00 pm + as a few people are arriving late.

All free of charge, anyone and everyone welcome. Beds for 4 or 5 in bunkhouse/poolroom plus wobbybox available.

PM me for directions if you've not been here before.

Sid
