I take it you will be returning your 'stitch'

Glad to hear the weather didn't faze you :thumb

Cracking Pictures, pity about the Weather. I thought that Aerostitch where supposed to be the Bees Knee's !!. And I didn't realise that "Easyjet" where running Goldwings !!.

You were unlucky with the weather Trev.

I had a wet Stich when I went to Germany a few months ago. It was caused by one of the zips not being totally closed and then the rain being so heavy it was getting in at the neck through my open visor (which I'd had to open so that I could see :()

Dont know if i could be bothered tbh - have had a few suggestions on how to improve it so i think i'll persevere - too much hassle to ship etc.

Day 2 contd.

Obligatory Highlander castle foto on the way home - daylight was running out but couldn't resist stopping to foto one of the most stunning castles I've ever seen :bow

we headed straight back to the B&B for a hot shower which was fab.

Taking advise (once again from this forum) we headed off in a taxi to

- food was great and all of a sudden our oddysey in the rain and wind took on a more fun note and not the nightmare it seemed at the time :D

Great story and love the foties. Hoping to get up there next year.

Errr, if you are finished can I have your onion rings please?

Day 4 - heading home

As we were taking an evening ferry from Troon we decided to amble down the road to Stirling taking the A84 which is an absolute blinder :bow

Another battle site was in the offing so we stopped at ;

Great views over the Bannockburn battlefield site

In the visitors centre we also got a chance to try on some knights gear - I always wanted to be the King of the Road :blast

Nice one Trev, Not done Scotland for a few years. The last time was on my Blade. My favourite road in Britain is the A82 which runs between Fort William and Inverness

Good report shame the weather wasn't kinder. The best stay dry solution is a cheap oversuit over the top of whatever your wearing......at least the rain has two layers to go through.:D

Thankfully we still had plenty of time left before the ferry so we stopped off here for some fab grub:

Early bird menu meant Tosser portions for minimal prices in a really nice ambient. There even was an aga for drying our gear :bounce1

And there we have it - on the ferry and home to get dried out and reflect on a great trip. 800 or so miles was great fun and a welcome change from familiar roads this side of the pond. I'll be back for sure with maybe just an extra set of waterproofs next time :D

Thanks for reading :thumb2
