Booster Plug vs Accelerator Module

Hello guys.
I've been reading everything I could find here and on ADVrider about these mods (BP and AM) and to me they seem to be doing the same thing, that is tricking the fueling system to think the air temp is lower than it actually is in order to obtain a richer combustion mix.
Am I right in assuming that both are doing practically the same thing and there is just a cosmetic difference in construction, or is there a significant technical difference between the 2?

Yes, I think they do the same thing. There's even a third one out there that you can adjust to -10, -20, -30 degree drop. The default is -20 degrees.

That'll be Poolsides IICE AIR. He may have stopped making them now, you'd have to have a read. It does go into a bit more detail about how they work though.

Mine's due in a few weeks as I was on the last group to purchase. More interested in the next one, the iceCOOL that needs the first one to work best.

Poolside - iceCOOL, I’ve been following that thread too, they certainly have got very worked up about it all. I’m presuming the iceCOOL does a similar job on the oil temperature sensor, as the thermister on the air temperature sensor, the two mods working together is supposed to have a very beneficial effect.

Oh, and the Booster Plug/Accelerator Module do a very similar job, if they were swapped over without you knowing you’d probably not be able to tell any difference

I thought that also about the end of production, so I sent him a PM on the advrider forum and, low and behold, he had some for sale. I think he's a good marketeer coxing you into a desire to own one before he runs out.

I've been using the Accelerator Module (-20c) on my 09 GSA for over 2 years and 20k miles now, and it works well for me.

gives me:
1. smoother on/off throttle.
2. improved low speed fuelling.
3. better throttle response under acceleration.
4. fuel consumption largely unaffected.

works well with my other mods:
Remus Headers
Akra Ti silencer (baffle in)
OEM air filter

True, it was a bloomin' long read, but worth to some extent.
Have you already ordered and paid for the IICE Air you are expecting as I got in touch with the guy selling them and he told me he never yet sold one internationally so he has to look into postage and customs forms to give me a quote. I was a bit surprised as I was under the impression of having read some posts by ppl in the UK about their experience with the device, but hey, I'm not the suspicious kind so took the man's word at face value.

Could you pls share your rationale for choosing the IICE Air over the other two (Booster Plug or Accelerator Module), that of course if you ever considered these options...

Btw, I had an LC4 for about 3 yrs before getting the GS21... Rabid machine, practically indestructible. I loved it kitted as SM. A tad heavy for me in hard enduro, but lots of fun nonetheless...
