are the booster plug ans accelerator modules the same thing

Same function but different implementation. I've owned a BP (in the box now) for years and measured several carefully. I can vouch that the BoosterPlug does change the temp going to the ECU pretty accurately.

If you have a motorcycle with a working, connected O2 sensor neither product will have a long term effect since the ECU (Motronic or BMSK) will learn about the error introduced and develop long term fuel trims that fully negate the effect. Save your money for something that works.

How many miles/kms should it typically take for the ECU to learn and re-adjust ???

That's a good question. Several tanks of gas is roughly the time-frame. In order for the long term trim set to finalize, you have to ride at many different RPMs and engine loads for a cumulative 15-20 minutes per point. That seems to happen for most riders after several hundred miles.

I ran some measurements on this process which you can read here: http://advrider.com/index.php?threa...-af-xied-for-bmw.749080/page-40#post-23675190.

What you need now is a good set of decat headers. :rob

Yeah, that's something I have been considering???

John, I noticed from your pics that the headers have a good shine to them..........are they just polished stainless??

Yes, polished them up special just for you. :augie
That's the way they came to me. Don't know if it's the grade of stainless steel or if they were well polished during manufacturing, but they do seem to hold their appearance very well.
Seemed to be well made and fit the bike easily enough.
I've seen pics of some makes of expensive headers and some look pretty rough.
Had considered keeping the headers but then I would have had to have looked for an SC silencer and it was starting to feel like I was going to have a lot of exhausts around me. The standard ones suit my needs best.
Trying to keep what's left of my hearing. My wife says!
