Errrrrr, what's in a name, BigTwin     if the construction's the same. The description 'black cab deterrent' is dexdirect's (whoever they are) NOT Sidi's

But maybe you fall for the hype in the description :D

Oh right - obviously multinationals like Sidi wouldn't do any marketing or market research re names would they. Obviously they would decide to call a hardcore boot "Courier" for a bet.

Yeah - I mean what would they know, compared to the might of your knowledge - they only sell them afterall. And me and eddy802 that have made the same point here only wear them - obvioulsy we are mad. If only users, sellers and manufacturers had the might of your expert opinion to put them straight eh?

Odd that, seeing as Couriers are commonly £99 on the web.

You seem to be struggling with this a bit. eddy made the point that they are not a true off-road enduro boot, that his pegs were chewing up the sole. I agreed - he is absolutley right; they are not. Period.

BigTwin

Yeah you're right and I'm wrong................just looking at an unworn pair in my office, from fleabay, arrived this week for £60................

Ever thought multi-nationals like Sidi, might use 'SPIN' or a bit or niche marketing for a boot they've produced for years........I mean the Sidi Trials boots were around at least 5-6 years before Sidi Courier even arrived

Change the colour to black and add a steel toe piece and create another marketplace for pseudo world adventurers and city couriers

Your opinions is yours and you have the right to exercise as you wish, always thought you were out of this world :D

And what on earth does that have to do with anything, FFS? My mrs got a nice garden ornament last week - I guess that would make the Vertigo a pair of sucba flippers then eh?

Oh right - so dispite you ranting and puttting it in bold etc, it's not EXACTLY the same then is it. Oh dear, they seem to have changed the Trials name to the Courier, changed the boot, and marketed it for city use.

Gosh - that'll be exactly what I said then. Not a true off-roader. And Eddy. not a hardcore off-roader. Gosh. fancy that eh?

Sidi Discovery Tepor great, waterproof use every day for work

Where did you get them? I can't find them. I called the distributor and he told me they are called the courier in the UK  To me the discovery and the courier are two different boots. Help please.

Sidi boots.

I read somewhere on a Euro website that three models of this type of boot are available at the moment, although one is to be fazed out.
Sidi Courier, black leather with a steel toe plate and tan coloured sole.
Sidi Trial (Courier?), black or red leather, no toe plate and a grey sole.
Sidi Trial Zero, black or red or silver leather.
I picked up a pair of new Courier boots yesterday and to be fair feel good. Had worn moto-x Sidi's in the past but walking when off the bike was very uncomfortable, this is no longer te case.
As for waterproofing, non off the mx boots I have had over the years have been 100%, but as mentioned, a set of waterproof socks (eg, Porrelle Drys @ Millets) keeps any leakage from your feet. Also, rubbing a leather waterproofing wax into the stitched seams helps keep the water out. T.
