Add some paint. I know its not perfect but alot better than the rust before. Its not going to match so use black and work on the illusion that its supose to be like that:augie

Ta DAAAA

I use my bike every day so will monitor how it perfoms etc.Hopefully wont catch fire :blast I noticed recently the cover had stated to suffer badly. The bike had only 6000 miles when i bought it last April it now has 18000.

£10 on paint and about 5 hours

My 2006 GSA is corroding in this area.......I take it that it's only a cosmetic problem as I'm not too bothered about looks or do I have to sort it for more than looks.....?

The sponge is the problem (in the cover) socks up water and leaves it threre.

Dont think it would rust all the way through but some of the cover bolts had begun to rust so needed to be sorted.

JJ they only look clean because i have just used WD40 to clean the area

The exhausts are in a bad way with lots of rust and a crack near one of the sensors. The first 30cm is ok but that is probably due to the heat.
