For the fourth year in succession this event is being led by someone from this forum, first Grumpy, then Jockser, then myself and now it's Con1's turn.
Anyone who participated in this event last year had a lot of fun. Click Here

The run starts in Larne at 9.30 on Saturday and heads to the Glens of Antrim and onwards to Thor Head, after a short break on towards the Sperrins and stop for lunch the total distance for the first day is approximately 180miles, and the first overnight is in Derry.

The second day heads towards Donegal and to the very scenic Inishowen Peninsula, on to the second overnight stay which is in Greencastle.

IMPORTANT !
Due to technical difficulties, the committee has made a change to the booking process for the Boreen from now on. All bookings for this years Boreen are to be made through www.irishboreen.com the Official site for the Irish sections Boreen. If any have already ready made bookings through the old process it is requested that they confirm the booking again through the new website.

Just had a look and it appears from the form you need to be a BMW club member to take part

As far as I know that has always been the case Gary, but due to a lack of entries last year they let anyone join in. I don't know if the same will apply this year though. It is a great run, but I wouldn't join the BMW club to take part. :nono

I just thought since it was good craic last year that I'd post the details.

Best of luck Con1.

Absolutely right you are too Daithi. :thumb2

Will the Boreen be opened up to non-club members this year though I wonder? :nenau

I'm really torn about what to do this year. I've told my mate Jim that I'll probably be doing the Riders Rally, but I want to do the Boreen too. Why the feck do they have to be held on the same weekend?

I must admit it seems a bit unfair that Gary Finlay can give just his biased side of the story and the Club Social
Secretary can't give his side on the same forum, just seems unfair. I do know there is a lot more to it than what
Garfieldus has said, he's implying he's been wronged or slighted in some way and I don't believe he has been.

So, in answer to your question many dummies were thrown and toys were scattered all over the feckin place...:augie
