Thanks to Daithe, Jochen and all the "behind the scenes" organisers for a really great biking weekend in the best of company. And thanks (not) for the need to lose about 6 lbs. after the weekend!!! Even considered cracking up the pre load to compensate!

Hope everyone made it home safely and Aiden has a bob or two left after Mandy's shappin spree!!

Was the chicken playing chicken?? What WAS on the other side of the road? Was there the ghost of a resurrected featherbed Norton present? These are conundrums only those present can know!!

.... brilliant weekend...: :

got down friday eve bout 9,30 bumped into the usual suspects in the bar

the rest of the gang had gone up the town for a meal,lovely trad session goin on in the bar ah yes i was glad i went, then the gang came back from the meal , mary said she was quite full considering she had fcuk all to eat had not booked anything and forgot it was a long weekend so renwaahhh said he had a spare bed if i wanted next morning got up early with a very sore bum an me wallet missing was just a bout to go home when renwaaaaaggghhh said dont be stupid i,ve loads of money wow he had that much money he needed two wallets

so on we went, daihti leading the way and mandy providing plenty of vitamin b lovely trip round the ring of hook an the sunny south east

got into our second destenation for the evening great spot right by the sea youghal ***** cork ( i,ll tell ye a story that happened to me one day as i went down to youghal by the sea) anyway thanks to james i had room again for the night me an frank 1200 mike btr blade an renwwwwaaarrrhhh all sharin the same house how lovley blade needed to use the bathroom very quickly
so we said go ahead we,ll have a shower when your finished :flush:shotim went an had good dinner and great banter frank 1200 was tellin me how he worked as a hoggit stunner in the local slaughter house an that funny when the poor sheep new their time was up they used to put out fierce easy : eek very interesting,and renvore what a beautiful mind ( watch the film) after dinner an a few beers they all went back an i stayed on with another frank till we got fcuked out of the hotel anyway got back up to the houses and there was a bit of street party : i raelly wanted to go to bed early but they said it would be rude not to have a drink with them so i had one or two, they said some big guy from england got really ticked off becase he was,nt invited ah well maybe next time , next mornin got up for a wee only too come back an find me mattress an blankets gone out the window i think it was the beutifull mind thats all i remember really thanks again to the powers that be i feel so much safer now that i know blade is back on the beat renvore is gone back in for more tests and frank 1200 is lookin for further employment.

I have to agree, there was more craic on this Boreen Run than any run I'd been on before, I still chuckle when I think of the stories of what was going on when ye were marking junctions. Bloody great weekend, thanks to all of ye.

I will admit w00kie, that Jockser did a lot of the work leading up to the run, but at no stage did he lead it so I'm taking full credit. I finally led a run insted of instigating/delegating it. But never again !

I think the ratio of GSers there was bigger than usual which added a new element of fun to it, the Disco Divas just added brilliantly to the mix.
