Has anyone had any experience of the BOS Y piece and/or can on the 1200?

I've a Remus and Y on my 1150 and planned on the same setup for the 1200 but.........it looks like a nice piece of kit.....and it's black....and shiny.....

Anyone??

TIA

Hi There,

saw one fresh out of the box on Saturday.

The build quality is superb, great welding, nicely finished.

Would like to have heard it on the bike!

Both Boz, who is currently in China I believe and Big Andy who isn't have Bos systems fitted to their 1200s. Boz's looks well made and isn't offensively loud by any means. He did, however, say that he thought his fuel consumption had increased since he had it fitted.

Yip I have full BOS system fitted, as far as performance goes, it does make a good difference, although I haven’t tried a remus so can’t compare. with the BOS it will easily lift the front wheel of the throttle in second (and I am a BIG guy). IMHO it looks far beefier than the remus. Comes with a removable baffle I haven’t took it out yet as I find the noise with the baffle in very nice. I would recommend it.

I've been looking at the Bos slip-on. I ride year round and over here they just love to throw enormous quantities of salt on the roads.

Would you recommend an aluminium one?

In a word, no.

Titanium / stainless should corrode a lot less all things being equal. The ally one may survive depending on their quality of construction and anodising, plus if you have shares in ACF 50 (or similar).

Thanks!

Ta for the replies - mind made up now. BOS it is!

Mmmm, roll on first service.......
