Anybody got one / had one?

Does the sound quality warrant the cost?

Or shall I just go for the portable one? :nenau

Ive got the noise cancelling headphones
the acoustimass 7 speakers secondary
and the new smaller cubes as main tv surround
Sound reproduction , they are the dogs danglies:thumb2:bow
but bose after sales ,forget it:blast
if something goes wrong.:nenau:nenau because the shop you bought it from shoves it back to the makers and then its round robin and seems to have got worse ,now that you can buy the stuff in airports etc :blast

I'd be auditioning one against the B&W Zeppelin before I parted with 700 ponies on one of them, Bose ain't all that and I believe the Zep pisses it.

If I had need for a dockable speaker I'd have the Zep but I'd far rather have the AE Aego's I have and 'suffer' a jack connection and keep £550 in my sky.

I went for the portable one. Very happy with it. Looks great, excellent sound and I get way more use from it's portability than I ever thought I would... BBQ's, garage, bathroom, washing cars etc; all now done to music!:JB

zep is very good, my brother replaced his bose with one, i have a harman kardon, well worth listing to both of them, knocks the socks off the bose

Portable is pretty excellent. My MP3s are 320kbps and the sound is excellent, if a little bass heavy for my ears. Mind you, I find all Bose stuff a bit bass heavy though. Audition them both if you can.
