Hi Allan,

There are some people from Bosnia on our local motorcycle forum, I can try asking them about insurance/border thing if you want.

You can buy insurance at the major crossing points. How good this insurances is however debatable. The only border I have been asked for insurance docs is on the Serbian Border (every single time as well) It cost approx 100 euro for a month.

Durmitorsko Sedlo road is sealed.

Wow, i had actually completely forgotten what Croatia and Bosnia looked like,Those photo's looked stunning.

The last time i was out there was in 1992 on a professional basis,-50 winter temps, and getting shot at....i might organize myself to visit the areas that were effectively the frontline all those years ago and see how its all changed.

Great report Damir! I will just give the Jozeph my F650 to make me some case holders on this weekend...
Next time buzz me and we can meet... :thumb

There is much concern how Serbs will treet you (foreigners) in Serbia.
I would just say that if Damir and the crew get out without any problems then... :D:D:D

Insurance update

I had a chat with a Serbian solicitor that specialises in insurance he says that you can get 3rd party insurance and fully comp and it will provide the same type of cover as over here, however the fully comp will be quite expensive. Another issue is sometimes the insurance people at the border do not speak English so discussing the different insurance can be difficult

Try saying CASCO which means fully comp and "ne" CASCO means no fully comp so they should give you 3rd party (ne means no)

Great photos and very inspiring damir. Thanks fella.

Hadn't even considered that insurance could be an issue.

Anyone travelled south from croatia?http://www.ukgser.com/forums/images/smilies/aidan.gif

South from Croatia is Bosnia and Hercegovina, Montenegro and Adriatic sea :)
I was there :) But it was all called Yugoslavia that time...

Great people, great sights... not that grate roads... I think average for this part of the world...

Dont have to be warry about safety more then enywhere else on Balkans.

Well done!

Damir, that was a great report and has certainly given me some ideas for my next trip.

Keep up the good work
