Just had my 6k service carried out at the new Bowker Motorrad Preston ,(formerly Southport Superbikes)
Lucky enough to get a tour of the place including workshop and very impressed, top of the range place and equipment.
I can see why the service prices at dealers are so high they have spent a shed loads of money there getting it up and running ,but impressively
gave me the cheapest quote out of the main dealers around here £187.00 all in inc brake fluid change (rear brake a lot better ,less travel)
Three software updates installed , gear changes seem better and bike seems smoother low cruising
As weather was bad stayed and waited for the bike and enjoyed unlimited drinks and snacks free of charge .
Fully recommend Bowkers , even though new set up and looks expensive worth a try , staff very helpful and not pushy :beerjug::beer jug:

My old man and my brother have been using them (Southport Superbikes) for years (even though they are 200 miles away). They supplied my GS, Had the 600(ish) mile service there at the opening weekend. Very swish, I do hope they keep their 'personality' though.

I had a 600 mile service there.

Bowler was right arm over the till and expensive. £124 for 1 at close of play.:(

I happened to be in Southport today & walked past the old Southport superbikes store - very sad to see it closed & empty - its been there ever since I can remember. my bike was bought up In the north east (Cooper BMW) I have had good service & warranty support from Williams Manchester so far but will be taking a look at Bowker in the future as its within striking distance their Harley dealership used to carry out warranty work on my Buell 1125r

emailed them last week through their website for a quote for a 12 K service... they couldn't be arsed replying so have gone elsewhere !
