Hi All, put my 1250 GS into service at Williams today and they lent me first a Playstation RT i.e. the one with the widescreen tv, then they lent me an R1800 first edition, then I got my own back. Had an RT in the past, a 1200. This new one, is much much better, it cruises at a nice 80ish, its as stable as a stable thing and it looks the dogs. Then I got a couple of hours on an R1800. What a blast that was. Having ridden Harleys before, the R1800 is just so much better. Nice to ride, handles well, stops well unlike a Harley and pulls like a train. Levers work even if you are normal rather than Neanderthal and the finish and style are spot on. Two old, i.e. dead and resurrected old ladies gave it a big thumbs thumbs up out of the i10 car window too. Think the vibes must have shook parts in their car that hadn't been shook since 1948.

If only I had the room and the money for 2 bikes, I would have the 1800 in a heartbeat. But when I got the GS back, I remembered why I got 3 GS's out of the last 4 bikes. As someone who can only have one bike, the GS has to be the one, rides as well , maybe better than the RT, pulls like a train, the electronics are easier to use than the RT dash-thing. But I can't get the 1800 out of my head : would not be OK on the NC500, what about a trip to the Med or south of France, would it work as daily ride ? All shite like that. if you get a chance, take one out, they are great. Probably would work on the NC500, what do you think ?

Thanks to Williams. Best day out in ages and COVID safe to boot!

Anything goes, an acquaintance of mine went on this HD all the way to Crimea and was going to go around the Black Sea. Bike was loaded with tent and gear. If this bike made it can't see a reason the why BMW would not make it. ack in the 1940.
