I've just come back from from a little trip across the channel and called to see Mat at boxer supplies. He's a very knowledgeable man and has loads of 2nd hand parts as well as new stuff. Worth a ride over to see him if you are in the area?

It is a genuine hpn bike, it's waiting to go to the USA along with 3 other airheads all bought by the same guy. It's quite a nice bike up close and it sold for 15000€ which to my mind is a bargain, i missed out on it by 2 weeks :blast

So waddya fetch back? Any boxes containing nice G/S binnacles, full of idiot lights & 'dip to the left' UK spec headlamps (which are surely worthless on that there continent)? :D
 
I wonder if he's the guy that was at Netley last year. If so I got some good parts from him. It was good to see anyone selling airhead parts at a jumble.
 
I got the front break conversion kit off him and not so long ago I bought the rear LED tail light conversion kit
And that's a great bit of kit

They start work on mine next week. Top & bottom and maybe the middle, overhaul... just because I am running out of time this year and I need to ride a it!
Its a fecking long way to collect it though. 1050kms:blast
 
When is it ready I'm over there shortly, in fact I'm away on Tuesday to Europe.
 
I'm also gonna get some of those nice BSM stainless header pipes, the ones with the balance pipe. Fed up with with the non-balanced Keihan that I have fitted.
 
The cam has been removed and declared AOK

Mat said he has seen quite a few of the late R models ('95/'96) with the same sort of damage... cheap supply for model run-out :nenau
