Boxertools Bench: Lunch Meet on Saturday 6th December

There's an earlier thread aboot this but it got a wee bit confusin' so here's a new one.

You are co-ordially invited to the first official SS Soup 'n' Sandwich Meet at Boxertools Bench, Bridge Of Balgie, Glen Lyon. It's a crackin' location and the grub's first class.

Den, Grizzly and masel' have all been up to sit at the bench since it was erected there in memory of UKGSer Mike Hyde (Boxertools) but we've no' had an organised run up there yet. The wee tearoom has long been an SS haunt but we've now got oor ane GSers bench thanks to the Hyde family.

It's a braw area with great roads no matter where you come in from so I'm suggesting just meetin' there, ha'en lunch and then headin' off hame again in the various directions.

Will we say meet for lunch at 12:30?

I'll try and make this as well Did google Glen Lyon after reading the Boxertools Bench thread and fancied a run there, so a SS Soup 'n' Sandwich Meet sounds great.

I would normally head up the M90 to Perth, returning down the A84 through Callander - but that might not suit you. We can discuss.

Where do you want to meet ?

Will you be running in the Tenere again ??

I've been thinking about the route.

On the return run, how about doing the South side of Loch Tay (from Killin), then up over Glen Quaich, through Crieff and down to Rumbling Bridge.

Back on the M90 at Junction 6 (Services) or go via Kincardine ?


I'm not that fond of the Callendar run.


See what the weather brings (snow forecast for this Sunday ).
