I’m advertising these for a mate oop north.
He bought these from a private school when they closed their wood and metalworking classrooms.
Anyway he’s never used them and has asked me to sell them for him as he'll likely never use them now.
The drill is a Startrite Mercury Mk2, British made but I’m not sure of the model of the Boxford, that too is British, made in Halifax I believe.
Both have seen some use by students and as such show the inevitable student mishaps.
The lathe needs reassembly and its motor reattached (it’s been recently converted to single phase) and the drill will need rewiring as it apparently used to have an emergency foot operated cut out which is no longer present.
He’s looking for around £550 for the lathe and tooling and £175 for the drill.
Must be collected from BB8 postcode, just outside Colne, Lancashire.
