I remember a New Year's day trail ride in the Yorks Moors, about 15 years ago

Cold and frosty, but very sunny

Out on the Moors we were going down a hill where the road went through a ford................the first 5 bikes went down like skittles..........bikes and riders everywhere.

The luckier ones (me) further back gently laid our bikes down alongside the soft grass bank

No one was injured....................how we all laughed in the pub at lunchtime..........if only we had a bike cam in those days

Looks like I will have to drink plenty of beer instead tonight back working from the 30th so no drinking for new year hope to catch up with you all for a ride out in Jan.

Sorry to anounce this but the Ice on the back roads just won't go away! It has rained on the ice and instead of melting has just made it worse so going to have to cancel the ride. Don't want a load of broken bones!
